My time as UNT's B.E.S.O President
As President of BESO, I strengthened my leadership and professional skills by organizing and participating in a variety of impactful workshops, networking events, and professional development opportunities. Through this role, I built meaningful connections with key stakeholders in the education field, including the former U.S. Secretary of Education and developers of nationally recognized curricula such as HMH. These experiences expanded my understanding of educational policy, curriculum design, and teacher advocacy, while also allowing me to represent future bilingual educators with confidence and professionalism. My time in BESO has shaped me into a collaborative, community-driven leader who is committed to uplifting students and educators alike.
